Prince Harry's heart still belongs to the military.

Prince Charles' son sent a message to military veterans around the world to "support each other" as the Taliban regained power in Afghanistan after the evacuation of the US military.

The Duke of Sussex is familiar with the terrain and the state of mind of the military having been sent there twice as a soldier in the British Army.

In addition, Prince Harry created the Invictus Games, which support veterans injured in combat through sports competitions.

It was on behalf of the foundation that he addressed the military.

Solidarity

“What is happening in Afghanistan resonates throughout the international Invictus community. Many of the nations and participants who took part in the Invictus Games are linked by the same experience of serving in Afghanistan for the past two decades, and we have, for many years, participated in these games alongside the team of Afghanistan from the Invictus Games. We encourage everyone, through the Invictus network - and the military community at large - to get in touch with each other to offer you support ”, we can read in this text signed by Prince Harry, but also Dominic Reid, the CEO of the foundation.

Prince Harry created the Invictus Games in 2014, a few months before returning to civilian life, to show veterans that he remains by their side.

An event very dear to his heart, since it was during the 2017 games that he made his first official appearance with Meghan Markle, whom he married in 2018 and with whom he had two children, Archie and Lilibet Diana .

The Invictus Games have been canceled for the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic and will take place in 2022 in The Hague.
