On the 16th, the second day after escaping, there were a series of sightings of dogs believed to be wolf dogs around Minamihara Station on the JR Uchibo Line in the city, and about 30 people, including police officers and city officials, searched.

A man in his 80s who lives nearby said, "My dog was barking, so when I went outside, there was a big dog footprint in the field. It's scary, so I want you to catch it soon."
According to police, the wolf dog that escaped is a dark brown female about 75 cm long and weighing about 40 kg, without a collar.
The wolf dog has a timid personality and is vigilant, and the owner's man explains that he is not a dog that bites people.
Police and others are calling on the local residents to be vigilant as well as proceeding with the search on the 17th.
