The loggerhead turtle "Hamataro" bred at the "Hiwasa Chelonian Museum Caretta" in Minami Town, Tokushima Prefecture, hatched at a local junior high school in 1950 and is considered to be the oldest sea turtle in the world with a record of breeding. ..



I celebrated my birthday on the 13th of this month and turned 71 years old.



The museum was scaled down to celebrate the birthday of the new coronavirus, and when the keeper presented his favorite spiny lobster, Hamataro bite vigorously and finished eating in no time.



An 8-year-old girl who visited the museum said, "I'm happy to celebrate my birthday. I want Hamataro to do his best and live longer."
