Catherine Zeta-Jones got the role of Morticia Addams in

Wednesday

, the Netflix series dedicated to the character of Wednesday.

The star of

Prodigal Son

will therefore give the answer to Jenna Ortega who has been entrusted with the title role, as well as to Luis Guzman who will play Gomez Adams as revealed by Entertainment Tonight.

The cast being almost complete, we can hope for a start of production in the coming months and, who knows, an exit by the end of next year.

Mystery and more mystery

Wednesday

is presented as a coming-of-age story in which the macabre teenager will be brought to solve mysteries with supernatural overtones in the Nevermore Academy where she studies.

Over the course of the eight episodes that will include the series, the character will discover amazing psychic powers and will have no other choice but to learn to master them in order to clarify the curious epidemic of murders affecting the city.

Very strange events which, coincidentally, could well be linked to another 25-year-old mystery in which his parents were involved.

A plot that we will be tempted to qualify as “Burtonian”, which is no doubt explained by the fact that Tim Burton will direct and produce the series!
