In a surprise and hours before the concert of festivals singer Hamu Beka, the Musicians Syndicate prevented the concert, which was scheduled to take place yesterday, Saturday, at one of the beaches designated for women in the Marina area on the northern coast of Egypt, which recently sparked controversy.
The conditions of the ceremony designated for the beach came, which are not to enter men and allow women to enter only, and to adhere to the dates set for the ceremony and to follow the precautionary measures to prevent the emerging corona virus.
The cancellation of Hama Beka’s concert came by order of the Syndicate of Musical Professions, headed by artist Hani Shaker, because the festival singer did not obtain official permits from the union to practice the profession before holding any concert for him, in addition to the decision to prevent him from singing.
The head of the Syndicate of Musical Professions, artist Hani Shaker, issued an official report against Hama Beca and the concert organizers for violating the law and the union's regulations regarding reviving concerts without obtaining a permit to practice the profession.
An official source in the union indicated that Beka did not grant him any permission to sing, and that the concerts he performed during the last period violated the law and work regulations.
He added that the union has written a report against Hamo Beka, regarding reviving parties without obtaining a permit to practice the profession, and soon the union council will make its decision regarding his permits during the coming period.
He revealed the way Hama Beka revived concerts despite his ban, as he receives daily permits from the union to practice the profession before holding any concert for him, so that he can sing and revive concerts, until he takes the performance tests in the union, the date of which has not been set yet.
In the first reaction to Hamou Beka, he ignored the ban and canceled the concert, and published a picture of him with the young artist, Merihan Hussein.
