(Fighting New Coronary Pneumonia) Some border areas in Yunnan delimit strict control areas for epidemic prevention and control

China News Agency, Kunming, August 13 (Reporter Miao Chao) Yunnan Province is located in the southwestern border of China, bordering Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam.

Recently, some border areas of the province have successively designated areas under strict control of epidemic prevention and control, aiming to cope with the current severe and complicated overseas epidemic situation.

The headquarters of the Leading Group for Response to the Novel Coronavirus Infection and Pneumonia in Mengla County, Yunnan Province recently issued a notice, deciding to dynamically and accurately delineate the strict control area.

Closed management shall be implemented in the strict control area, and the personnel in the area shall not enter the town (farm) where the strict control area is located unless necessary. If it is necessary to leave, the certificate of negative nucleic acid test within 72 hours shall be held.

Mengla County borders Laos to the east and south, and the southwestern corner of it faces Myanmar across the Lancang-Mekong River.

Due to the long border of Mengla County, the list of strictly controlled districts is relatively large, including the Zhonglao Mohan Port, and dozens of towns (farms) under the jurisdiction of Mohan Town, Yiwu Town, Guanlei Town, and Mengla Farm. Village (production team).

Before Mengla County delineated strict control areas for epidemic prevention and control, the reporter noticed that Longchuan County and Mangshi, located on the border between China and Myanmar, had already designated strict control areas.

In June of this year, Longchuan County imposed strict controls on Zhangfeng Town, Longba Town, and Dibian Village in Husa Township under its jurisdiction.

Since then, Longchuan County has strengthened its control over the strictly controlled area, and its current intensity is similar to that of Mengla County.

The strict management identification zone in Mangshi includes four Shebian townships, namely Zhefang, Manghai, Mengga, and Zhongshan, and Fengping Town.

The previous notice issued by Mangshi stated that the move was to strictly prevent the importation of overseas epidemics and strictly control illegal and criminal activities such as illegally crossing the border of the country and smuggling.
