A Los Angeles judge has opened the way for another trial for assaulting comedian Bill Cosby, who has just been released from prison, lawyers for a woman who filed a civil case against him in 2004 revealed.

The actor, best known for his role as an exemplary father in "The Cosby Show", was released on June 30, after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned a prison sentence of at least three years against him for sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, who was sexually assaulted in 2004. At the time, she was working at Temple University in Philadelphia.

The Consand case was the only one to be the focus of prosecutions, although dozens of women have accused Cosby of abuse, including Judi Hath, who filed a case in the civil court on December 2, 2014.

The complainant asserts that she is still suffering from the effects of psychological trauma, after the actor assaulted her in 1974, when she was 15 years old in Los Angeles.
