The reporter learned from the Zhangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Government in Fujian Province that on the afternoon of August 14, 17 foreigners came to the beach near Jiangkou Village, Qianting Town, Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City and were caught in the sea.
After receiving the alarm, Zhangzhou City and County levels organized search and rescue efforts.
Up to now, 16 people who fell into the water have been searched and rescued, of which 10 died after the rescue failed, 6 people have stable vital signs, and the remaining 1 person is in search and rescue.
The cause of the fall is still under further investigation.
