“The fact that the south of the European territory of Russia is facing a very serious situation began to speak at the beginning of the week.

Indeed, a very interesting subtropical storm has formed, which in structure resembles a tropical cyclone, most often observed in the Mediterranean Sea, in the second half of summer.

But now we are registering the appearance of such a mesocyclone in the Black Sea, ”said Shuvalov.

He noted that in the past day the heaviest rains were in the Azov region, in Yeisk, Temryuk, Kerch and even in the north in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region.

“From 50 to 80 mm of precipitation - very significant rains in a very short period of time.

Now this mesocyclone is shifting to the east, therefore it captures both the western coast of the Sea of Azov and the Krasnodar Territory, because the situation is serious not only in Anapa, but partially in Novorossiysk, it is possible that in the afternoon very heavy rains will take place in Krasnodar itself , in the regional capital, therefore, this "hot spot" persists and will persist for perhaps another day, "the meteorologist explained.

The interlocutor of RT added that for another day heavy rains will affect the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, maybe less Sochi, but heavy rains will continue in Anapa and Novorossiysk.

"Krasnodar Territory, the south of the Rostov region and heavy downpours in the Volgograd region, the cloud ridge will further stretch to the northeast, to Volgograd and further into the Urals," concluded Shuvalov.

Earlier, the chief specialist of the Moscow meteorological office, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, in an interview with RT, spoke about the weather in the metropolitan region in the next few days.
