At around 7 pm on August 10, a man fishing in the river at the Shenxianfeng Hydropower Station in Longji Village, Zhongshan Town, Wuping County, Fujian Province, was trapped in the river due to a sudden rise in the water level.

At the scene, a man was trapped on a rock in the middle of the river. The water had reached his knees. One side of the river was farmland and the other was a cliff.

With the passage of time, the water level has gradually increased, and the situation is urgent.

The on-site commander quickly formulated a rescue plan based on the existing conditions. The rescuers rowed a bamboo raft to approach the trapped man from the upper reaches.

When the rescuers approached the trapped man for the first time, due to the turbulent currents, he could not maintain his balance and was washed away by the flood. The rescuers on the shore immediately pulled him back to the shore.

Then the commander adjusted the rescue plan. For the second time, the rescuers rowed a bamboo raft into the water again, and suddenly a dangerous situation occurred about 5 meters laterally close to the trapped person. The two safety ropes were twisted together and were jammed by the reefs at the bottom of the river. One rescuer carried out self-rescue, and the other rescued the life jacket to the trapped person.

The trapped man puts on his life jacket and fixes it, and rescuers tie a safety rope to the trapped man, and rescuers on the shore will pull him ashore safely.

The fire department reminded the public not to risk entering the river during the flood season, lest they encounter the flood and bring their lives in danger.
