The American rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd writes on their Facebook page that guitarist Rickey Medlocke has received covid-19 and that they are therefore canceling several gigs on their US tour.
The band is one of several bands that canceled or postponed gigs due to people in the tour company testing positive for the virus.
The AOR band REO Speedwagon has canceled two gigs during the weekend in the USA due to covidfall.
The alternative rock band Fall out boy has also canceled several gigs on their US tour which they do together with Weezer and Green Day.
Rap metal band Limp Bizkit is canceling the rest of its planned concerts in August as a precautionary measure, but denies rumors that anyone in the band has covid, Loudwire reports.
The New Orleans Jazz Festival is also canceled.
It was supposed to take place in October but is canceled with reference to the "exponential increase in covid cases in New Orleans", writes the New York Times.
