The Hong Kong 2021 Election Committee elections will be held in September 2021.
The election nomination period starts on August 6 and ends on August 12.
August 7 is the second day of the nomination period. Candidates from various sectors submit their forms to the Government Secretariat, including those in the entertainment industry.
In the morning, Huang Baiming, a well-known film producer in Hong Kong, appeared at the government headquarters. He united people from sports, performing arts, and cultural publishing to form a team of 14 people, hoping to win 14 elected seats for the election committee.
Huang Baiming pointed out that Hong Kong is a free place, but he emphasized that freedom also requires self-discipline. If you break the law for freedom, you will be selfish rather than freedom, and will destroy your future.
Talking about the criteria of ideal candidates, Huang Baiming believes that Hong Kong needs to elect a team of patriots to achieve effective governance, and put forward the four major principles of "stability", "freedom", "development" and "opportunity".
He also hoped that in the future, Hong Kong could rely on the motherland, seize the development opportunities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, catch up with it, and set off again.
