Werewere-Liking Gnepo, actress, novelist, writer, was born in 1950 in Bondè, Cameroon.

She was raised by her paternal grandparents in a traditional environment.

She has lived in Côte d'Ivoire since 1978, when she began researching Negro-African traditions and aesthetics at the university.

She is the founder of the Ki Yi M'Bock group, a theater company based in Abidjan.

Werewere Liking is a prolific author who has touched on all genres;

however, it is undoubtedly for her theater and her work within the community of Village Ki-Yi that she has forged an international reputation.

For many readers and listeners, she will remain the author of the book
