Shiga Prefecture announced on the 7th that it was confirmed that 117 new people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
The number exceeded 103 on the 4th of this month, the highest number ever in Shiga prefecture.
This brings the total number of people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture to 6,589.
On the other hand, no one has died of infection, and 94 people have died in Shiga prefecture.
