Two months after the tragedy, justice advances.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the traffic accident that killed American actress Lisa Banes in Manhattan in June, New York police said on Friday.
The man was arrested Thursday and charged with refusing to give way to a pedestrian and hit and run after a fatal accident, a police spokesperson told AFP.
Lisa Banes, 65, who was visiting New York City on June 4, suffered a head trauma as a result of the crash, caused by a two-wheeler that ran a red light as she went was hired to cross the street.
She was dead ten days later.
The accident had taken place near the Lincoln Center cultural center, in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan.
A call for witnesses launched
While Lisa Banes fought for her survival in the hospital, his wife, Kathryn Kranhold had appealed for witnesses in the newspaper

, to find the driver of the scooter.
Lisa Banes had acted in numerous films, in the cinema and in the theater, in "sitcoms" including
Roseanne
, and in the theater, on Broadway.
In film, her most notable roles were in
