"Two helicopters of the Moscow Aviation Center flew to extinguish a landscape fire in the Moscow region of Lukhovitsy," TASS quoted the Moscow Department of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Fire Safety in Telegram.
It is noted that the fire covered an area of 7 hectares.
The helicopters are equipped with a special device VSU-5, which allows dropping 5 tons of water at the same time.
Earlier, the head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to assist in introducing changes to the Labor Code, which could allow firefighters to work overtime and receive compensation for this.
