Governor Koike of Tokyo met with Mayor Hidalgo of Paris, the host city of the next 2024 convention, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on the 7th.

After the meeting, the two sides issued a joint declaration that included further strengthening cooperation in fields such as sports, the environment, and culture as the host city of the tournament.

The Declaration states that it will strive to spread the appeal of sports and familiarize it to all citizens, including people with disabilities.

In the environmental field, we will share our expertise and other information to build a carbon-free society.

Mayor Hidalgo of Paris said, "We ran the tournament even in this situation. I think the international community is also successful. We want to carry on the legacy of the tournament and make everyone familiar with the sport."

In addition, Governor Koike said, "Paris and Tokyo have both tradition and innovation in each field. We will promote exchange and cooperation as host cities."
