Today (7th), the beginning of the season, the sweltering heat continued.

Tomorrow, the heat in the east will cool down to around 30 degrees, and in the west, Seoul will still be hot at 34 degrees, because of the east wind.

Tomorrow afternoon, Typhoon Rupit will blow a stronger easterly wind into Korea as it heads north to the vicinity of Kyushu, Japan.

Therefore, strong rain and wind is expected from tomorrow afternoon on Yeongdong, Yeongnam coast, and Jeju.

Heavy rain of 150mm or more is forecast, so there is a high chance that a heavy rain warning will be issued.

Also, as very strong winds with a maximum wind speed of 20 m/s are expected in the east and south coasts, it is necessary to check the facilities well in advance.

Tomorrow too, there will be showers across the country amidst many clouds in the sky.

At present, preliminary warnings for typhoons and storms have been issued for the southern seas and the distant seas of Jeju.

On Monday the next day, it will rain in most areas except the metropolitan area.
