Finally, WhatsApp announces the launch of the "one-time image view" feature

Yesterday, the company "WhatsApp" for instant communication announced the launch of the "one-time offer" feature, which was requested by a large number of users.

According to the "Sky News Arabia" website, the new feature allows people to send videos and photos, "to be deleted automatically after viewing them once."

The sender of the photo or video can click on the "View Once" or "View Once" icon in the text bar before sending the message.

The sender will be warned not to send one-time viewing photos or videos to "trusted people", as it is still possible to take a "screenshot" or record the video before it disappears.

WhatsApp said the new feature gives the user "more control over their privacy."

The company also noted that "if the recipient of the message chooses to report the video or photos, they will be forwarded to WhatsApp's security team for verification."

Although messages on WhatsApp are end-to-end encrypted, only when someone is reported, an unencrypted copy is sent to the company.

Some observers considered this feature as copied from “Snapchat” and “Instagram”, after it first appeared in 2017.
