We should not dream of gold... if the situation does not change!

We will not get medals in any of the upcoming Olympics, if the state of sports and athletes in the Emirates continues as it is. The defect is clear, and by the way, it is a comprehensive defect that includes the entire sports system, and is not limited to an institution, club or player, as it is very clear that The way and mechanism of work of all components of the sports system in the Emirates is never going on the right track, and the situation will not be right with the persistence of this defect!

I do not know how some people dare to start work to prepare a player or player to participate in a world-historical event such as the Olympics, just one month before the start of the tournament. Is this a mockery of the event, or an overconfidence in the capabilities of that player or player, or a recklessness and lack of a sense of responsibility?

In all cases, these practices should never be silenced, and the principle of accountability must be activated for everyone who was the cause of the failure!

And in order to know the extent of the recklessness in which the sports federations live, we must look at the statements of the Emirati swimmer, Obaid Al Jasmi, who represented the country at the Beijing Olympics. A dirham, as if it provided him with the perfect preparation to win an Olympic medal!

It is really absurd, and it has nothing to do with sports customs, like these people, who are unfortunately officials in sports federations, do not realize that there is a special industry for Olympic champions, they are not “pop” that appear without cultivation or human intervention, it is an industry that is carried out using scientific, health and technological methods, And it starts from very young ages, and with accurate measurement levels, to guide this child to the game that suits his physical composition, and the size and density of muscle mass expected in him.

There is no Olympic champion, in the whole world, who came a month or two before the tournament to win a medal. Whoever thinks that should never continue in the field of sports, and he should look for another place for him!

The sports system includes different episodes, and all of them must be integrated, and if there is a defect in any of its episodes, the whole contract is disrupted, and everyone suffers failure and disappointment. Any fall in any of these episodes is a fall for all!

And we have to admit that we need to go back to the zero point. The entire sports path is going wrong, starting with the elections of sports federations, which turned into conglomerates for clubs, and this caused people to reach the presidency of the federations, not because of their administrative competence, or their sports experience, but rather that Some of them do not know anything, and have never practiced the sport in which they head their federation, yet these people arrived at the federations for one reason, which is the “knuckles” that occur from under the table!

We should not dream of gold, silver and bronze. Olympic medals do not come from a vacuum, and do not come without planning, strategies and diligent work, and do not come without spending money in the right places, and most importantly, they do not come without minds that have the experience, know-how and qualifications necessary for sports management, the efficiency of management And the necessity of “professionalism” is no less than the efficiency and professionalism of the players!

One of the most beautiful paradoxes that occurred in the Tokyo Olympics is that the Danish world champion, Victor Axelsen, gets the gold in badminton, after he chose Dubai from among all the cities of the world to set up a camp to prepare for the Olympics in it, during which he trained in the Hamdan bin Mohammed Sports Complex, and the Nad Complex Sheba, to then reap the gold!

See what that means?

For God's sake, you who are responsible for sports..don't you think!!
