[Explanation] Over the past few days, various parts of southern China have experienced high temperatures.

On August 2, the meteorological department of Liuzhou City, Guangxi issued an orange high temperature warning signal, and the daytime temperature reached 37 degrees Celsius.

Under such temperature, the staff of the Water Cleaning Brigade of Liuzhou City Flood Control Mobile Rescue Team under the high temperature salvaged garbage on the river surface.

[Explanation] At work, water cleaning staff wearing orange-red life jackets work in pairs. Zhang Fugang drives the assault boat, and his companion Mo Zhijian holds a 2-meter-long copying site on the bow to salvage the rubbish floating on the river.

At present, it is the flood season in the south, and a large amount of rubbish will flow down with the rushing flood. In order to ensure the cleanness of the river and the smoothness of the river, Zhang Fugang and his colleagues have to fight every second to salvage the rubbish several times the weekdays ashore.

In the past few months, there has been a lot of (garbage). Because of the flood, a lot of garbage will be washed away by the flood, and it will stay on the shore. If we salvage the garbage truck a day, we will go to the garbage truck.

[Explanation] In order to pick up the garbage efficiently, Zhang Fugang flexibly manipulated the assault boat to move on the Liujiang River, driving towards the floating garbage, and his companion at the bow quickly picked it up.

Years of cooperation have allowed the two to cooperate tacitly. From plastic bottles calculated by grams to tens of kilograms of wood, they can all be picked up in one shot.

[Explanation] Under the direct sun at noon, sitting on the boat will make you sweat, plus the salvage operation, the two salvagers will get wet from the inside to the outside.

In winter, the cold south wind mixed with the water vapor on the river surface blows, and physics and magic cause "double damage" to the salvagers.

Salvage skills are trained in such an environment.

This kind of weather is very uncomfortable, the water temperature will reflect up, and the heat will rise up, like a steamer.

Even if you sit on a boat, you will sweat when you don't do anything. Besides, you have to move and salvage. Some things are heavy like wood.

[Explanation] In addition to salvaging garbage, the salvagers who work on the river surface all year round will not hesitate to lend a helping hand when they encounter citizens falling into the water or falling from a bridge.

On March 10, 2021, when team members Li Guohui and Mo Zhijian were cleaning up rubbish on the river, they suddenly saw a man floating face down on the water and heard the shout "Someone fell on the bridge."

So the two immediately drove the boat close to the man who fell into the water and worked together to rescue him.

We set off (approximately) at 7:57:30, and when we went all the way (work), I saw him at the bottom of the bridge, thinking he was swimming in the morning, and the older uncle next to me told me that there was someone I jumped off the bridge, and then I sailed over, and the two of them worked together to fish him up.

It was still cold in March, so I took off a water jacket and covered him (to keep him warm).

[Explanation] According to the water environmental quality ranking of the national surface water assessment section of cities at prefecture level and above announced by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Liuzhou will rank first in the country in 2020 and the first half of this year.

This is inseparable from the local water management in Liuzhou, and it is also inseparable from the persistence of "water beauticians".

At present, the cleaning brigade has 70 members, 8 mechanized work boats and nearly 30 cleaning boats. They are responsible for daily water surface cleaning and flood prevention work of 47 kilometers of rivers in Liuzhou city. On average, they clean up about 130 cubic meters of twigs and other garbage every day.

[Concurrent] Han Xujun, Captain of Water Cleaning Brigade, Liuzhou City Flood Control Mobile Rescue Team

Like last year, the water quality of the Liujiang River ranked first in the country. It is inseparable from the coordination of the general public, the Liuzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal People's Government, and the upstream, and our team is also indispensable.

The sewage in Liuzhou City is discharged only after the treatment meets the standards, and the citizens' awareness of environmental protection has increased, which plays a key role.
