Seismologists have recorded a magnitude 5.5 earthquake in the Indian Ocean near the Nicobar Islands. It is reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
It is noted that the epicenter of the earthquake was 346 km from the city of Port Blair, located on South Andaman Island.
The outbreak was located at a depth of 5.5 km.
Earlier, seismologists recorded a magnitude 5.5 earthquake off the coast of Vanuatu.
