Mabrouk Attia raises controversy with “The Qur’an of Empty Homes” and the Fatwa responds

Preacher Mabrouk Attia sparked controversy, after circulating a video in which he said that it is not permissible to play the Noble Qur’an in an empty house, and described whoever does this as a “black movement”, because “if the Qur’an is read, the Muslim must listen and listen to the verses that are recited in order to He studies it and works with it.”

During his hosting of the “Happening in Egypt” program, Attia said that the Muslim plays the Holy Qur’an, whether inside or outside the house without listening to it or listening to “The Sawda Movement”, and the meaning of listening here is listening to the voice of the Holy Qur’an, while listening is the Muslim’s invocation of the distant sound of the Qur’an and trying to learn The verses you read.

He continued: "Whoever says I love to listen to the Qur'an, whether it exists or not, let it work, this is not understood, and this issue is a black disaster."

Dar Al Iftaa in Egypt hastened to respond, stressing that operating the recitation of the verses of the Qur’an via the radio or a recording device at home or at work without concentration is permissible according to Sharia and there is no sin on him, but it is preferable to listen and reflect.

Sheikh Mahmoud Shalabi advised to play the two surahs of Al-Baqarah and Al-Imran in the home or workplace, because the Muslim who listens to them or to any other verse of the Noble Qur’an, has a reward and a reward with God.

He continued: "The mere act of reciting the Qur'an at home in and of itself expels demons, and therefore there is no prohibition in operating the Qur'an even when not concentrating while reciting it due to work."

And Dar Al-Iftaa had published a fatwa on its website by Sheikh Nasr Farid Wasel, the former Mufti of the Republic, in which he stressed that reading the Qur’an in any pure and respectable place and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it if it is intended to mention God, worship and hope for reward from God.

It quoted former Mufti, that this came in the verse Surat Al-Imran: «who remember God standing, sitting and lying on their sides», and also in Surat parties: «O ye who believe, remember Allah with much, praise reel and authentic».
