Li Pan, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, reported that Wang, male, 34 years old, drove back to Fengjie by himself on July 30 and worked at a construction site in Zhuankou Street, Economic Development District, Wuhan City.
After Zhuankou Street in the Economic Development Zone of Wuhan City was designated as a risk area for the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Fengjie County included Wang in key areas for screening of people returning to Chongqing.
On August 4, his nucleic acid test result was positive.
After consultation with Chongqing municipal experts, combined with clinical, imaging findings and laboratory test results, he was determined to be an asymptomatic infection. He is now undergoing isolation medical observation in designated medical institutions.
Li Pan said that after the outbreak, Chongqing immediately carried out personnel investigation, isolation control, nucleic acid testing, site elimination and control, and gene sequencing.
The rapid response team of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission and city-level circulatory experts, together with Fengjie County disease control agencies and relevant departments, set up a joint circulatory team to conduct in-depth epidemiological investigations and grasp the trajectory of case activities.
As of 17:00 on August 4, 43 close contacts and second close contacts of Wang have been traced locally, 43 people have been sampled, and the results are all negative; 49 environmental samples, of which 47 were negative, and 2 were Positive (at home of case).
Fengjie County People’s Government Deputy Magistrate Yu Qian stated that Fengjie County has implemented closed management in key areas such as Zhenwu Liyuan Community, Hefeng Township Water Park, and County People’s Hospital. The buses involved have been suspended and have been killed.
The county has activated 5 isolation points and 200 isolation rooms, and centralized isolation has been implemented for all close and sub-closed personnel that have been lined up.
