The Red Crescent Authority in Dubai ended the suffering of the citizen inmate (Hilal - 55 years) by paying 140,000 dirhams, the amount of the financial case incurred by him, who is languishing in the Punitive and Correctional Institution in Fujairah pending a legal alimony case, and he suffers from several chronic diseases, including diabetes, which Impact on his health, severe hearing and sight impairment.

The guest expressed his happiness and deep thanks to the authority, and its stand with his suffering in light of the circumstances he is going through, pointing out that the authority is always proactive in extending a helping hand and assistance, especially to the inmates of penal and correctional facilities at the state level as well as his community initiatives that are in the public interest.

On June 28, "Emirates Today" published the story of Hilal's suffering and his inability to pay the amount of the financial case incurred by him, and he was appealing to philanthropists to help him pay the amount.

(Hilal) has been behind the bars of the central prison in Fujairah, for four months, pending a financial case represented in the legal alimony in the amount of 140 thousand dirhams, as a court ruling was issued against him to be imprisoned until the payment of the sum incurred by him.

He told "Emirates Today": "I went through very difficult circumstances, in addition to the psychological situation because of the case. I was the head of a family consisting of three wives and 14 children, and I separated from two wives a while ago, and I incurred a monthly legal alimony for them in the amount of 8000 dirhams, and it was My life is proceeding at a normal pace, as I was working in a government agency, but after retirement, my life was turned upside down as a result of the many financial obligations incurred by me.”

He added: "My pension does not exceed 22,000 dirhams, from which I pay 10,000 dirhams per month for bank requirements, and 8,000 dirhams is legal alimony, and the rest of my salary goes to life expenses and the requirements of my family members, and I do not know what to do under the circumstances I am going through."

He continued, "My situation after retirement made me fail to pay the alimony required of me, so an amount of 200,000 dirhams was accumulated on me, and the case was transferred to the court, and a court ruling was issued against me with imprisonment until payment, after which I was transferred to the Central Prison in Fujairah, and I completed four months, and a procedure was conducted. A settlement of the amount was reduced to 140,000 dirhams.
