A lawyer and her client, detained at the central house of Saint-Martin-de-Ré, on the island of Ré (Charente-Maritime), were surprised on Friday July 30, in the midst of sexual intercourse, reports

Sud Ouest

.

It is a supervisor who brought it to an end by breaking in.

The prison union of the guards of the central house denounced this act, because of the risks of "contamination" that it could generate.

The supervisors of the central house had already had to manage a cluster last April.

The day before, the Directorate of Prison Administration (DAP) had updated the instructions for managing health crises in the face of an epidemic resumption.

No prosecution against the lawyer

If sexual intercourse is in most cases prohibited in detention, the La Rochelle prosecutor's office has indicated that it will not, however, initiate a prosecution against the lawyer, the facts not falling under criminal law.

An investigation with a view to disciplinary proceedings has, however, been opened by the bar, while the detainee is also expected to go before a disciplinary committee.
