On the afternoon of August 2nd, many places in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province encountered heavy rainfall and serious water accumulation, which caused many people to be trapped.

The local meteorological department also issued a red warning signal for heavy rain.

In Yutou Village, Luoyang Town, Quanzhou’s Taiwanese Investment Zone, the village’s roads were narrow and the village was heavily flooded. The deepest part was over knees. The grandparents and grandchildren were trapped in their homes.

Rescuers arrived at the home of the trapped person on foot and found that the first floor of the house had been flooded.

The rain was getting heavier and the water was getting deeper and deeper. The rescuers immediately grouped and relayed with the public security police. Wading through the water successfully moved the three trapped people to a safe area.

In Daowei Alley, Yutou, Luoyang Town, an elderly couple was trapped in their home. One of them has limited mobility.

Rescuers arrived at the scene and found that at this time, the road surface was as deep as the waist of an adult, and the deepest point was more than one meter. The trapped people’s house had serious water accumulation, which had flooded to the edge of the bedridden mattress.

Because the trapped elderly were unable to walk, fire rescue personnel and the masses worked together to fix the trapped people on stretchers and then moved them to a safe area.

In addition, in Licheng District, Quanzhou City, waterlogging occurred in some areas due to sudden heavy rains.

At the scene, the vehicle was immersed in stagnant water. Rescuers, wearing life jackets, carrying ropes and other equipment, waded slowly close to the flooded vehicle, calmed the owner's emotions and instructed the owner to open the door in the vehicle and move it to a safe area.

Subsequently, fire rescue personnel cooperated with members of the wilderness rescue team to transfer the trapped vehicle.
