Emirates Literature launches Satyarth Nayak session on YouTube

Today, the Emirates Literature Foundation released the full recording of writer and screenwriter Satyarth Nayak’s session entitled “Sardevi… The Immortal Screen Idol”, from the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2021. The session follows the journey of screen legend Sridevi, since she became famous in her childhood until she rose to stardom Indian cinema.

It is noteworthy that this session is one of a series of sessions made available by the Emirates Literature Foundation to the general public on its YouTube channel.

The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, in its 13th edition, witnessed the participation of a group of writers and creators, most notably: Malala Yousafzai, including: Amin Maalouf, Elif Shafak, Lyman Sesay, Hoda Hamad and Abdulaziz Baraka Saken, from January 29 to February 13.

The Emirates Literature Foundation, a non-profit organization, provides all means of support and sponsorship for literature and culture, and seeks to consolidate their position in the UAE society and the region through various cultural programs and initiatives.

The Foundation incubates and sponsors many long-term cultural initiatives and projects, aiming to advance the aspirations of the UAE's National Reading Strategy.

Among the most prominent projects sponsored by the Foundation are the School Librarians Award, the Kateb Maktoob Initiative, the “Inside Out” project, year-round education programs, as well as book clubs and creative writing courses.

Among the Foundation's most prominent initiatives in 2020 are the Conference of the Global Alliance for Literary Festivals, in 2016 the Dubai International Conference for Translation, and in 2017, the Dubai International Conference for Publishing.
