  At present, the city and district's disease control, public security, transportation and other departments are making every effort to investigate and track the close contacts and sub-close contacts of the infected person.

  Since the occurrence of an overseas imported-associated new crown pneumonia virus infection on July 30, Xiamen City quickly initiated an emergency response and took a series of measures in time to respond with all-out efforts to resolutely prevent the spread of the epidemic.

  At present, Xiamen is carrying out the second round of full-staff nucleic acid testing in key areas such as Lianqian Street and Yundang Street in the city.

  It is understood that as of 22:00 on August 2, 421,800 samples have been collected, with a completion rate of 93.8%, and the test results that have been issued are all negative.

Officials expect to complete the second round of nucleic acid testing on August 3.
