According to figures from Public Health France, the number of patients with coronavirus in hospitals is on the rise.

A slow but very present ascent.

Today, nearly 7,840 people with Covid-19 are hospitalized, or 761 more patients than last Monday.

While France is facing an outbreak of the Delta variant, critical care services have for their part 1,232 patients with Covid-19 against 952 a week ago.

This indicator had passed below the 1,000 threshold on July 7, before starting to climb slowly and return above 1,000 four days ago.

More than half of the population doubly vaccinated

The disease has claimed 51 new hospital deaths in twenty-four hours, bringing the total deaths to 111,997 since the start of the pandemic in the spring of 2020.

On the vaccination side, a total of 42,895,720 people have received at least one injection, or 63.6% of French people since the start of the campaign in France.

According to the Directorate General of Health, 35,738,643 people now have a complete vaccination schedule, or 53% of the total population.
