"The indicators everywhere are on the rise," warns Féréderic Valletoux.

In an interview with the Journal du Dimanche

,

the president of the Hospital Federation of France (FHF) is worried: "The epidemic context shows us the limits of intermediate measures".

While the health pass must be extended to bars and restaurants from August 9, the boss of public hospitals pleads for compulsory vaccination for all French people.

"It is time to go beyond the incentive to take the last step," adds Frédéric Valletoux, also mayor (Agir) of Fontainebleau.

A "simple, clear and effective" measure

"Everyone wanted to trust", he estimated before stressing that "Every day that passes sees the antivaccines harden their words".

This Saturday, the demonstrations, sometimes enamelled face-to-face tense with the police, gathered in France more than 200,000 opponents to the extension of the health pass.

"No more half-measures" Faced with the resumption of the epidemic, with a health pass that is complex to implement and difficult to read, to put an end to the #Covid crisis which has a heavy impact on hospitals, in the @leJDD, @fredvalletoux pleads to make vaccination compulsory for all pic.twitter.com/jPbt6TS9Q3

According to the president of the FHF, the establishment of compulsory vaccination would have the advantage of being "more readable" than the health pass.

“It is a simple, clear and effective measure, when the implementation of the pass promises to be of rare complexity, especially for hospitals to draw a border between the patients for whom it will be requested from the entry and the others ”, justifies Frédéric Valletoux.

For several weeks, certain medical and political figures have also spoken out in favor of compulsory vaccination for all and not reserved for certain professions.

Considered by the Haute Autorité de santé, it is also popular with 58% of French people, according to an Odoxa-Backbone Consulting survey for Franceinfo and

Le Figaro

published on July 1.
