Recently, at Labrang Monastery in Gansu Province, the Panchen Lama led more than a thousand Tibetan Buddhist monks to hold an initiation ceremony, praying for the disaster in Henan to recede as soon as possible, and also wishing to overcome the new crown epidemic as soon as possible, and pray for the prosperity of the Chinese nation and national unity.

It is reported that all the offerings and alms received by the Panchen Lama in this puja were donated to the disaster-stricken areas in Henan, in order to express the hearts and minds of Tibetan Buddhism circles, especially Gannan Tibetan Buddhism circles.

The Panchen Lama expressed the hope that through this move, more Tibetan Buddhist monks, especially the younger generation of living Buddhas and representatives of the religious world, can participate in social welfare and make practical contributions to the motherland and the people.
