On July 30, personnel of the Zhuhai Maritime Safety Administration of Guangdong encountered a group of pink dolphins while cruising in the waters of the Pearl River Estuary.

It is understood that the body of the newly born Chinese white dolphin is dark gray, the young one is gray, and the adult is pink.

The pink color on white dolphins is not caused by pigments, but by blood vessels under the epidermis.

This is related to regulating body temperature.

Generally, it gradually fades from the initial dark gray to the adult pink.
