From the coming season, the RMC Sport channel will co-broadcast two Champions League posters per day with Canal +.

The rest of the competition will be broadcast on beIN Sports, while RMC Sport will broadcast almost all Europa League matches.

RMC Sport will co-broadcast the two best Champions League posters with Canal + for the next three seasons and will broadcast almost all the matches of the Europa League and the Europa Conference Conference, the Altice group channel announced on Friday. Diffuser of the Champions League since 2018, RMC Sport had seen Canal + and beIN Sports recover the main batches of the European queen event on the French market for the period 2021-2024.

According to a press release released on Friday, RMC Sport will broadcast for the next three seasons "the two best posters of each day from the first rounds of play-offs on August 17 and 18, 2021", indicates the chain of the group Altice France, confirming information from the newspaper

.

Canal + will co-broadcast these two best matches and beIN Sports will broadcast the remainder of the Champions League matches over the period.

Lower bill for Canal +

This co-broadcast agreement is likely to lighten the bill for Canal +, which must pay 310 million euros annually to UEFA for these two Champions League matches, according to

L'Equipe

.

It comes as the encrypted channel is also engaged in a legal standoff to "withdraw" from the broadcasting of Ligue 1, which it considers the amount overvalued.

RMC Sport also announced Friday that it "will be the only channel to offer 266 matches (excluding finals)" of the Europa League and the Europa League Conference "live and exclusively each season" until 2024.

A lot that belonged to Mediapro

This prize relating to the Europa League (second European Cup) and the brand new Europa Conference Conference, third European Cup launched this season, was initially obtained by the Sino-Spanish group Mediapro for its ephemeral Telefoot channel, which has ceased to emit in early 2021 after only a few months of existence.

Canal + and W9 (M6 group) will co-broadcast the best poster of each day of the Europa League or the Europa League Conference.

Finally, RMC Sport will continue broadcasting the European Supercup from August 11 with the Chelsea-Villarreal meeting in Belfast.

RMC Sport channels are offered from 9 euros per month for SFR subscribers, also in the bosom of the Altice group, or 19 euros per month for non-subscribers to the telecom operator.
