The wife accused of killing her three children and attempting to kill her husband in the Egyptian governorate of Qena, revealed the details of the last hours in the lives of her three children, and said: "I put poison for them in cans of mango juice, and they rejoiced in it, and after minutes they fell one by one until the three breathed their last, except for the father." He called the neighbors, and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The accused admitted that she had an illegal relationship with a young man who had been working as a driver for 6 months, and that she met every week in his apartment in Qena Governorate, and confirmed that she had agreed with her lover on a plan to get rid of her husband and three children by putting poison in the juice to continue their forbidden relationship.
The investigations published by "Al-Masry Al-Youm" stated that the accused wife initially confirmed that the juice that the victims drank was expired, and that her children bought it from a store she did not know, and upon examination it was found that her statements were false.
Investigations indicated that the accused’s lover bought her 4 cans of mango juice and she put a concentrated dose of poison in them and presented it to her three sons and her husband and left them screaming in front of her and she did not move until all her children died, and her neighbors came to her husband’s distress and took him to the hospital for treatment.
The security services in Qena governorate were able to arrest the accused and her lover on charges of killing her three children and attempting to kill her husband because they had food poisoning.
The Public Prosecution decided to imprison the wife and her lover for 4 days pending investigations, and the security services requested the completion of investigations into the case, which carried No. 1531 of 2021 at the Farshout Police Station.
The security services in Qena Governorate had received a report from the residents of the village of Al-Bija in the Farshout Center, about the death of the three brothers, Raafat, 9, Amira, 8, and Adam, 7, and the injury of their father after consuming mango juice from a grocery store. Behind the killing of her three children and the wounding of her husband, in agreement with her lover, who works as a driver in Qena Governorate.
