Disney apparently did not appreciate being targeted by Scarlett Johansson in her complaint.

The actress, who accuses the studio of having released

Black Widow

in parallel to the cinema and on Disney + (thus reducing her salary since she was to receive a bonus according to the performance in theaters of the film), has indeed filed a complaint this Thursday before the Superior Court of Los Angeles.

Disney was quick to respond, denouncing "total disregard for the horrific and prolonged effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on a global scale."

In a press release relayed by

Variety

, the House of Mickey does not hesitate to strike hard.

“This complaint is completely unfounded.

This trial is particularly sad and distressing, ”says Disney.

Big money

In its response to Scarlett Johansson, Disney even goes so far as to reveal the comfortable salary the star received on

Black Widow

, and adds that its streaming would also have boosted it, without specifying to what extent.

“The release of 'Black Widow' on Disney + with Premier Access has dramatically improved its ability to earn additional compensation beyond the $ 20 million it has received to date,” says the studio.

Either way, with $ 318 million in global box office revenue to date, Black Widow is likely to be the MCU movie that has made the least amount of money for Disney.

And Scarlett Johansson's complaint risks ending any collaboration the star has with the studio.

It is probably time to say goodbye to Natasha Romanoff.
