China News Service, Xiong'an, July 30 (Reporter Cui Tao) On July 30, around the Lotus Grand View Garden in Baiyangdian Scenic Area, sandbags nearly 1 meter high acted like a wall to block the rising water level.

In the past few days, the upper reaches of Baiyangdian Lake and the local area of Xiong'an New District have experienced many rare heavy rainfalls, which caused the water level of Baiyangdian Lake to rise significantly, reaching the highest water level in the past 10 years.

A reporter from Chinanews.com found that the Xiong'an New District has taken a number of measures to help the "city of the future" smoothly pass the floods.

Taking a boat from the pier into the Baiyangdian Scenic Area, it can be seen that the water level of the pier has indeed risen, but it has not overflowed the embankment, and the water in the lake is flowing gently.

"Yesterday's data at 16:00 showed that the total inflow of the lake was 148 cubic meters per second, and the water level of Baiyangdian Lake was 7.34 meters, which was 0.16 meters lower than the recent highest water level. The total water volume was 464 million cubic meters." Deputy Director of Anxin County Agriculture and Rural Bureau Zang Peijun said.

More than 200 rescue vessels can be used in Wangjiazhai Village of Baiyangdian Pure Water District Village, which can meet the emergency transfer needs of the people of the village.

Since July 25, Baiyangdian Scenic Area will be temporarily closed.

In the Lotus Grand View Garden, its main attraction, more than 200 workers built more than 30,000 sandbags around the attraction to prevent flooding, and pumped water through pumps. At present, there is no water in the attraction.

"There was no knee when the water in the attraction was the deepest. At present, we arrange about 50 staff members to pay attention to the flood conditions every day." The staff of the maintenance and support department of the Lotus Grand View Garden said.

In Wangjiazhai Village, Baiyangdian Pure Water District Village, the reporter saw that the village was not affected by the rising water level due to its high terrain.

There are more than 200 rescue boats available in the village, which can meet the emergency transfer needs of the people of the village.

Zang Peijun, who has been fighting the flood for a month, said that more than 100 villages in the Baiyangdian flood storage area have prepared flood control emergency plans. The county monitors the flood situation 24 hours a day, and has special personnel on duty to ensure the safety of people's lives and property during the flood season.

As the water level rises, the Zaolinzhuang Junction in Zaolinzhuang Village, Xiong County, began to discharge floods on July 11, and all 29 gates were opened.

The Zaolinzhuang Junction connects Baiyangdian Lake to the downstream Zhaowangxin River, and is responsible for flood discharge in the Dian District.

Villagers in Zaolinzhuang Village said that the flood discharge has little impact on the lives of the villagers and is within a controllable range.

Villages along the river have organized flood control patrols, on-duty and rescue teams, and they are on duty around the clock. In addition to patrolling the dams, they will also persuade people close to the dams to return.

At the construction site of the Xiongan Business Service Center Convention and Exhibition Center project, a key project in the Xiongan New District, more than 200 staff from China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. are carrying out flood control work.

They inspected the construction site for water inlets, dredged drainage pipes, closed non-flood prevention emergency circuit facilities, and transferred outdoor construction materials that are vulnerable to moisture.······

The project will be delivered in the near future. As a pioneer project in the Rongdong area of Xiongan, the project will provide venues for large-scale conferences, exhibitions and corporate offices in the Xiongan New Area. It will focus on undertaking Beijing's non-capital functional relief and position it as a scientific and technological achievement in Xiongan. The exhibition and trading center will guarantee the important meeting and exhibition functions of the new area in the next 5 to 10 years.

Fu Lin, the project manager of the Convention and Exhibition Center of Xiong'an Business Service Center, said that during the rainy season, the project has made adequate preparations for flood prevention to ensure the safety of project construction and ensure the smooth delivery of the project.

"Will the severe floods in Henan happen in Xiongan?" This question has recently become a hot topic.

It is understood that in the planning stage, the Xiong'an New District attaches great importance to the construction of flood control.

According to the plan, the Xiong’an starting area flood control project will reach the 200-year flood control standard.

At present, with the gradual completion of the flood control project in the ring-starting zone of the Xiongan New Area and the flood control project of the Zangang group, the flood control pattern of Xiongan has taken shape, the flood control system has been gradually improved, and the flood control capacity has been greatly improved.

According to the Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters of the Xiong’an New Area, since the flood season this year, the Xiong’an New Area has dealt with 3 rounds of flood peak transit and 7 rounds of heavy rainfall. A total of 453 hidden flood prevention hazards have been investigated and corrected, and various types of flood control have been formulated and revised. There are 26 contingency plans.

Up to now, several heavy rainfalls (precipitation 150% more than the same period last year) in Xiongan New District have not caused large areas of long-term water accumulation.
