On July 29, the Shanghai Yangpu police reported that after more than three months of careful investigation, they successfully detected an extremely large webcast fraud.

173 criminal suspects were arrested and the amount involved was more than 13 million yuan.

In April of this year, the Yangpu police received clues that a webcast platform named "Jimei" was suspected of fraud.

After investigation, the police found that the criminal gang operated in a corporate structure with a meticulous division of labor. It recruited people to defraud the victim by setting up a seemingly formal webcast company.

From June to July, the task force went to Liaoning, Jiangxi, Heilongjiang, Guangdong and other provinces and cities to collect the Internet.
