The Africa Report takes you all this weekend in the Central African Republic, in the heart of the deep forests in the east of the country.

In Lobaye, the rainy season, from July to September, rhymes with the caterpillar season.

Each year entire villages are emptied of their inhabitants, all activities stop to devote themselves to the picking, sale, and consumption of caterpillars which represent an unexpected financial and nutritious windfall for a country suffering from chronic food insecurity. .
