A Syrian steals millions from his grandfather because of the game "Bubji"

A Syrian young man stole large sums of money from his grandfather, valued at tens of millions, in the city of Irbeen in the countryside of Damascus because of his addiction to the game “PUBG” and his need to buy updates and additions to his game.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior stated that the value of the stolen goods amounted to 17,000 US dollars (worth more than 50 million Syrian pounds), in addition to gold jewelry of about 15 million pounds.

She said that the thief put a rope from the roof of the house to the balcony of the apartment that was stolen, with the aim of camouflaging, but he was the subject of police suspicion because the theft took place without breaking or dislodging.

The thief admitted that he deposited part of the money and the gold coins with a shop owner in the Masaken Barzeh area in Damascus, and the latter exchanged 4 thousand dollars, into the Syrian pound, and the thief admitted that he spent more than 6 thousand dollars on buying a credit for the game “PUBG” from a game store in the area Al-Bahsa in Damascus.

The ministry indicated that those dealing with him were arrested for exchanging dollars and concealing the stolen goods, and the recovery of the gold coins and an amount of 3,800 US dollars.
