Zhengzhou was in a hurry because of the heavy rain.

On July 20th, in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University (hereinafter referred to as the "Zheng University First Affiliated Hospital"), stagnant water was poured up to three stairs.

The hospital area of the hospital was forced to release information on the closure of the hospital the next day.

"Since the water in the river hospital area, we used 24 hours to transfer 11,350 patients, and then used 3 days to drain the accumulated water, and then used 24 hours to carry out the 10 guarantees for the hospital's return visit, and the return visit tomorrow morning." 7 On the afternoon of the 25th, Gou Jianjun, vice president of Zhengda First Affiliated Hospital, said in an interview with China Business News, “Many patients are waiting for our treatment and there can be no delay.”

Life and death rescue after discontinuation

The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengda University was built in 1928. In the 93 years since its establishment, this was the first time that the river hospital area of the hospital was closed due to a natural disaster.

At 4 o'clock in the afternoon on July 20, heavy rain poured in, and water suddenly poured in.

"The water filled the first and second floors of the basement all at once, and the water level rose to the third floor. The water level on the third floor was also about one meter. At that time, the power and the grid were cut off. When the water entered the ground, emergency power generation equipment Because it was destroyed underground, the power supply could not be activated. So we immediately decided to transfer the patient." Gou Jianjun said.

The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengda University, which has always been hailed as the world's largest hospital and has developed 10,000 beds, is not easy to move in the rain.

"To transfer patients, we must first arrange two things: transportation of vehicles and placement of hospitals. Under the coordination of Henan Provincial Health Commission and other relevant parties, ambulances, even buses and private cars from various cities in Henan Province and brothers’ hospitals have joined Since there was no electricity, the elevator was out of service, and the patients on the 28th floor had to be transported, so there was a Jiaozuo fire brigade to assist in the transfer.” Gou Jianjun introduced.

The transfer started at 5 pm on the 20th, and more than 3,000 medical staff in the hospital took the lead to transport the patients out.

"After the water and power cuts, it was not easy for some patients to walk downstairs. We escorted them one by one, or carried them on their backs, or carried them. We completely relied on manual transfer of critically ill patients. Some patients were carried down by medical staff. ..." Gou Jianjun stated.

At 10 pm on the 20th, the Jiaozuo Fire Rescue Detachment, 86 kilometers away from Zhengzhou, received the rescue mission and also came to assist in the transfer.

"After we received the task, the 60 team members immediately set off for Zhengzhou City and arrived at the He Hospital area at 1 am on the 21st." You Baoming, deputy chief of the combat training section of the Jiaozuo Fire Rescue Detachment, told China Business News.

After receiving an order from the corps to reinforce Zhengzhou, You Baoming, as a member of the full-time headquarters, cooperated with the superior deployment arrangements, organized the assembly of personnel, equipment, vehicles, boats, and a total of 11 vehicles, 7 boats, and 60 people, completing the preparations for dispatch in the shortest time.

After arriving at the scene, You Baoming took the initiative to accept the task, scientifically arranged the deployment of forces, and organized personnel into the hospital's critically ill transport work in an orderly manner.

"Our task is to transfer critically ill patients and patients with relatively large resistance (heavier weight, even up to 200 kg). We are divided into groups of 12 people. Due to the high floor, there are 20 floors. 4 people cannot lift it down. There are more than 8 people. Some patients also need to bring ventilators, infusion bottles, oxygen cylinders, etc. In addition, the stairs are relatively narrow and slippery, and the transfer is very difficult. It takes more than half an hour to transfer a patient. However, even if we fall by ourselves On the contrary, it didn't make the patient feel a bit bumpy." You Baoming said.

From as low as 3 floors to as high as 28 floors, the 60-person team lasted for 15 hours.

"In fact, we don't just transport patients from upstairs to downstairs, we also need to transport materials from downstairs to floors where there is no water, including diesel generators, and some large medical equipment and materials need to be moved upstairs." Baoming said.

"Until around 6 p.m. on the 21st, we lifted 90 patients. During this time, at about 6 a.m., some of the team members had hypothermia, and the medical staff instilled glucose. Fortunately, no other problems occurred."

According to statistics, this team has transferred 92 critically ill patients, 5 newborn babies, 138 mild patients and their families, and 56 trapped people under the overpass at the entrance of the hospital.

They also assisted doctors in transferring more than 100 sets of oxygen cylinders, ventilators, diesel generators and various types of medical equipment. They also encountered a fire while disposing of the circuit of the ventilator in the lobby on the first floor.

For 18 hours, due to damage to the power supply facilities, officers and soldiers usually had to walk back and forth more than 20 times in the hospital, transporting critically ill patients and heavy medical equipment.

  Severely damaged, open a clinic

As the head hospital in Henan, Zhengda First Affiliated Hospital has advanced medical facilities and ranks among the top in the country. It has strong treatment capabilities, high scientific research level and international communication capabilities. It is an important choice for Henan people to seek medical treatment.

Especially when heavy rains cause major disasters, it is a must to open the clinic for follow-up visits.

According to Gou Jianjun, after the patient was transferred, they began to prepare for the follow-up visit.

First, the stagnant water was pumped out. On the evening of the 24th, after more than 30 heavy-duty generator sets and more than 300 water pumps were continuously running around the clock to drain the water, the Zhengda First Affiliated Hospital Area was restored to electricity, and the lights in the hospital area finally turned on again. rise.

"At the beginning, it was a little slow due to insufficient pumping equipment. As of early this morning, the water was not pumped. Once the water was pumped, we started the ten guarantees before the diagnosis, including disinfection, power supply, Internet access, and communication. Information, air-conditioning and other service guarantee measures. The clinic will be officially opened at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning." Gou Jianjun said on the 25th.

After heavy rains, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zheng University suffered huge losses.

According to Gou Jianjun, there are valuable equipment and precision instruments on the first floor and the first floor of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, including CT, nuclear magnetic, DR, color Doppler ultrasound, PET-CT, linear accelerator, gamma knife, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, and power distribution room. , Control system, security system, computer room, etc., the direct loss is very large.

"In addition to direct losses, there are some secondary losses. Some medical equipment has changed in performance after power failure and needs to be repaired. Especially the sterile environment of the operating room needs to be reworked. However, for the opening of tomorrow’s diagnosis, we borrowed I used some CT equipment to start the diagnosis and treatment work first.” Even so, Gou Jianjun is still full of confidence.

At 8 o'clock on the 25th, Zhengda First Affiliated Hospital held a deployment meeting for the diagnosis of He Hospital District in Zhengdong District.

The hospital is still facing many problems and difficulties, but it has already done a good job of water and electricity guarantee, elevator operation, equipment maintenance, information network, medical insurance settlement, expert consultation, surgery arrangement, epidemic prevention and control, shuttle bus scheduling, hospital appearance and hospital appearance.
