Anna Karina Raga was born in Venezuela.
After unfinished law studies, she turned to jewelry with a course at the Institute of Accessories and Jewelry Design of Caracas.
His inspiration comes from nature and today from memories of that of his country.

Copper, warmth and colors
She has always enriched her techniques to be at the forefront of her profession. She knows many metal treatment processes but her preference goes to working with fire patina on copper. This involves burning the metal with a flame to obtain a range of colors depending on the orientation of the fire, its intensity and the duration of exposure of the metal to heat.

I work a lot with copper and silver, they are my favorite metals.
Copper because it is very flexible.
For the patina, normally it is with chemicals, I found a technique of the Amerindians of North America, they made the patina with fire.
There are a lot of colors on the surface after we can also play with the texture, the polishing.

, painting by fire, it's always a surprise.
The weather conditions also play a role.
In summer the colors are very strong, if there is humidity, the colors are a little more pastel, when it is cold they are other colors.
