[Explanation] On July 25th, at the 44th World Heritage Conference in Fuzhou, Fujian, "Quanzhou: Song and Yuan China’s World Ocean Trade Center" was approved to be included in the "World Heritage List". This is the only application submitted by China at this conference. Cultural heritage items.

It is composed of 22 representative historical sites and their associated environments and spaces.

So far, there are 56 world heritage sites in China.

Celebrations were held in the Confucian Temple Square, Zhenwu Temple Square, West Street and other places in Quanzhou, Fujian.

  [Explanation] From the 10th to the 14th centuries, the world's maritime trade ushered in a period of prosperity. Quanzhou Port stood out and became the "largest port in the East" comparable to Alexandria, Egypt, and traded with more than 100 countries and regions in the world.

A wide variety of commodities are traded here.

Foreign products such as spices and medicinal materials are shipped in from Quanzhou Port, and "Made in China" such as silk and ceramics are brought to the world from here.

I think the significance of this point in Quanzhou is still very important.

It is distributed in the Quanzhou Bay area with the city of Quanzhou as the core today.
