Queues, food and sweets!

Queues form in front of certain restaurants in some malls, and I wonder what causes these people to gather while waiting for their turn at the restaurant.

In any case, I cannot stand in line for a fancy restaurant meal, for the simple reason that I am sure that the meal is very ordinary and does not have anything special.

The phenomenon of modern queues was created by “Social Media.” If the restaurant has a skilled team in e-marketing, the huge masses who came because of those attractive pictures are drawn to it, and the number of likes rises insanely.

This imitates that, and that one feels an unbridled desire to try the restaurant because of “Social Media.” If he tries it, he exaggerates his admiration, and if he does not like it, because the likes of “Social Media” make the opinion of anyone who disagrees unimportant.

There is no special meal or magic mixture, and all restaurants are the same and repeat some of them, and there is nothing special that makes me go to a restaurant for a meal, or return to it for a meal I liked, or go to be affected by the queuing phenomenon.

Same for restaurant desserts, I mean the ones that serve a cake or that thing that you pour chocolate liquor on and it melts and explodes Instagram and Snap with like bombs.

This candy has nothing special, it's all very concentrated sugar only!

I see people crowding into a restaurant specializing in sweets and pouring the magic chocolate liquid on the cake that melts, and all this is documented on “Instagram”!

I went to try the cake and found it plain and full of sugar.

I thought the desserts in this specialty restaurant were cooked or made to order, but I was surprised the waiter brought them after only three minutes, even though they weren't displayed in the storefront!

I told the waiter that the cakes at the Blue Café were a million times better than his 40 dirhams cake!

He didn't believe me and said everyone likes this cake, so I told him they like the look on Instagram, not the taste!

He told me to try another kind and I tried, and it was worse than the first because of the extra sugar.

So I asked for the bill and paid for two bad cakes, and in the United States restaurants refuse to pay out of respect for the customer's taste if he doesn't like something.

In Europe sweets have a special taste and not just sugar!

How often I went back to cafes and bakeries because of cakes I liked, how often I asked bakeries to wrap me a variety of cakes to take with me, and every time I entered a chocolate shop I bought what I filled half the bag with.

I entered a café in France in which I tried three types of sweets that I had never tasted like in my life. The waitress welcomed me when she introduced me, and asked her to bring me any cake according to her taste, provided that it does not contain alcohol.

I entered a cafe in a shopping center near my house, and asked the waitress to bring me any cake without sugar!

So she brought me something that causes diabetes!

The first position reflects confidence and the second reflects despair.. I will understand if any reader does not agree with me.
