In 2019, Netflix made its first original venture in South Korea with the horror series Kingdom.

Today, a special episode of the series is released, which takes place around the turn of the century between the 16th and 17th centuries when a mysterious plague rages.

The series is one of the comedian and k-drama enthusiast Evelyn Mok's tips on the notable k-drama.

- I wanted to get more involved in Asian culture and then my friend recommended watching Korean series because they are fantastic, says Evelyn Mok.

She describes k-drama as a mixture of romance, humor, action and thriller and also suggests Crash landing on you which is one of the biggest series in the genre in recent years.

- It is about a South Korean woman who accidentally ends up in North Korea.

She tries to find her way back to South Korea and gets help from a North Korean captain.

No spoilers ... but they fit well for each other, says Evelyn Mok.

She also suggests the series When the camellia blooms which is a mixture of thriller and romantic comedy.
