On July 21, Donglu Village, Donglu Township, Qingyuan District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, was hit by a tornado, killing 2 people and damaging more than 100 companies.
According to the Qingyuan District Meteorological Bureau, the wind speed of the lowest-level tornado is generally 18-33m/s, and the wind speed of the highest-level tornado is greater than 74m/s.
This time, the maximum wind speed in Donglu Village was 17.9m/s, which was preliminarily inferred to be the lowest level tornado.
According to preliminary statistics, there were 102 enterprises in Donglu Township affected by the disaster, 362 people were affected, and 67 farm houses were affected, causing economic losses of 6.06 million yuan.
Electricity, gas, and communication pipelines are under urgent repair.
