It has been 23 days since two doctors were arrested in the commissioned murder of a woman in Kyoto who suffers from ALS, an intractable disease in which the muscles of her whole body gradually become immobile.

The woman's father told the interview, "I want you to take steps to prevent patients from being lonely so that similar incidents will never happen again."

Yuri Hayashi (51 at the time) of Kyoto City, who was suffering from an intractable disease, ALS, died after repeatedly posting "I want you to die" on SNS and blogs.

A subsequent police investigation revealed that Mr. Hayashi had asked a doctor to kill himself through SNS, and on July 23, last year, two doctors were murdered on a commissioned basis for administering drugs and killing him. I was arrested on suspicion.

One year before that, Hayashi's father (80) responded to the interview, saying, "It was an early year. To prevent similar incidents from happening again, I became lonely by expanding exchanges between ALS patients. I want you to proceed with efforts to prevent it. "

Mr. Hayashi, who had a hobby of surfing before the onset, posted on SNS about a year before his death, saying, "I have taken a wet suit that I never wore for the future." Was there.

The wetsuit is still displayed in the bedroom of my parents' house.

The father said, "I wanted to hold my hand at the end and I wanted to talk. That feeling is still the same. I want to know what the doctor thinks, so I would like to listen to it when the trial begins." ..

The two arrested doctors have been prosecuted and are currently in the process of arranging issues in advance for trial.
