In addition to the troops stationed in Henan and the Armed Police Force who set out for emergency rescue and disaster relief at the first time, local civil rescue organizations in Henan also actively participated.
Yang Yang is one of the rescue teams running in Gongyi today.
The following is his narrative:
On the morning of July 21st, our Condor Rescue Team and other local rescue organizations have already assigned their tasks and rushed to their respective mission sites. I participated in the rescue in Dayugou Town.

Dayugou Town is located in the eastern mountainous area of Gongyi City. This is the first time our rescue team has taken this route.
I was in the same car with the members of the Olive Green Veterans Pioneer Service.
The "Olive Team" was newly established in May 2021. The members are all local veterans in Gongyi City.
So far today, the water level in Gongyi is lower than yesterday.
At present, cadres of the township and village government in Gongyi have been rushing to repair roads. Our civilian rescue forces are mainly responsible for transporting trapped people and distributing materials.
Ten minutes after the departure, our team ran into the cross-country team of the Blue Sky Rescue Team of Wenxi County, Shanxi Province on the road. They also went with them for a short time, and then rushed to the scene separately.
