Group MONSTA X member Shownu delivered his final greetings to fans ahead of his enlistment.

Today (the 22nd), Shownu enters the training center and receives basic military training before starting alternative service as a social service worker.

Shownu, who had eye surgery last year due to retinal detachment in his left eye and had to stop his activities, was judged ineligible for active duty and was forced to perform his military duties as a social worker.

Shownu, who previously announced the news of his enlistment through a fan cafe, said, "The support and love that I have received from fans while working hard so far is not something that can be exchanged between people. Thank you so much for letting me know. See you soon."

Shownu also delivered a surprise greeting to the fan cafe last night before entering the training camp.

She left a short selfie with her hair cut and a short greeting saying "I'll be back", and also uploaded a picture of rubber shoes with a charming meaning to wait for her.

Rubber shoes are a metaphor for a person waiting for a lover who has gone to the military, and it comes from the saying, 'Even if your boyfriend goes to the army, he doesn't wear rubber shoes backwards'.

In response, fans expressed their affection for Shownu's last greetings, such as "I can't tell you to wait, but Shownu posting photos of rubber shoes, how can't you wait", "Come here and upload photos of flower shoes", "Don't worry and return home", "I hope you are always healthy" I responded with a comment.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Shownu's enlistment location and time have not been disclosed.

The agency said, "We ask for your warm support and encouragement for Shownu, who will faithfully perform his military service and return to health."

Even in the leader's 'military period (a period of absence from the military)', MONSTA X plans to continue working hard, releasing the new universe music song 'KISS OR DEATH' on the 26th, which Shownu also finished working with.
