"Pizza" as a condition for the release of two prison guards held by two prisoners!

Two dangerous prisoners in Sweden have been taken hostage by two prison guards who were only released after nine hours of negotiations and the delivery of about 20 pizzas and kebabs to the site.

The two guards, who were released separately, "did not suffer any injuries and have returned to their families," prison spokeswoman Stina Lills told AFP.

At around 12:30 local time (1:30 GMT), two prisoners in the heavily guarded Halby prison near the city of Eskilstuna managed to enter the space designated for prison guards, according to Torkel O'Neill, one of the site's administrators.

Inside were two guards who were taken hostage, and a mediator was sent to the scene before the police mobilized, O'Neill said.

The two prisoners, who are serving a sentence for murder, imposed two conditions for the release of the two hostages, which are, according to Swedish media, an escape helicopter and 20 pizzas with kebab meat for all prisoners.

The pizzas have already been delivered, Lills confirmed to AFP.

A local pizzeria also reported that this request was met and that it was cut off from meat.

Pizza maker Bashar Touma told public television "SVT" that the prison administration "did not explain much what the matter was. They only ordered pizza and came to take it without paying me."
